Team Driven Workshop Design

Workshop Design
It was important to have bi-weekly workshops with the clients’ user group in order to figure out what exactly their needs were before design started. The complexity of the policy being referenced and the documentation provided necessitated frequent discussion, workshopping, and iteration on desired functionality.

Workshop Examples
• Problem Solving Sessions
• How Might We Sessions
• Lightning Design Sessions
• Affinity Mapping

Component Driven Design System

Design System, Page Layouts, and Style Guide
For consistency across the team and in order to have a common language with developers, it was important to create a solid design system that would look good and consistent across a variety of pages and modules. The Design System, Page Layouts, and Style Guide were all created in Adobe XD and utilized component states and other tools in order to drive consistency and efficiency.

Quick Mockups and Interactive Prototyping

Mockups and Prototypes
The UX Team utilized quick mockups in order to aid in the discussion and development of needed functionality. Then prototypes were used to let the users experience and test the functionality for the purpose of feedback and iteration before finalizing the design and creating additional supporting documentation.
